    Unless you can prove you were fired for a protected reason, you have nowhere to go with this. If you enjoyed the volunteer work you were doing, you should look into finding another opportunity to do so rather than worrying about this.

    It's not because you were never paid that the lawyers aren't interested; it's because you don't have a case to bring.
