Default My Parents Are Kicking Me Out

    I live in Ohio.
My parents told me at 7:25am today that I need to get the f**k out and leave their house. We have been arguing for a few months now. I recently got back from basic training for the Army National Guard. I turn 18 on December 16th. I do not know what to do. They are trying to switch me school districts. I lose out on a bunch of stuff if I change schools. I'm happy with the school I am at. However, my parents think changing schools will help me. I have A's and B's right now. I try to make sure I keep my grades up. But I will have to change my entire schedule and it will definitely mess me up. I have online classes that I will have to restart.

Why are they wanting you out? What are the arguments about?

Why might online classes be affected? Are these classes held exclusively though the high school you currently attend?

The good news is that it may not be so easy to toss you out on your ear without an eviction. But, I am not familiar with Ohio law in this regard, so others may have some more specific knowledge on this topic as it might relate to an adult child (after December 16th) who is still attending high school.

Because they owe me money and they can't keep promises. The arguments are about money they owe me and about me moving out when I turn 18. These online classes are exclusive to the school I go to.
They sent a voice message to me telling me to get out and leave their house.

Okay, I'll bite ... how do your parents owe you money?

And why did they leave a voicemail rather than simply telling you to your face? Are you often away from home?

You realize that as a minor what you believe is yours is often your parents, right? That may also include your money from your job.

Do you know if being in the military makes me emancipated? I have a military ID and enlistment papers as well.

Here's a one word solution to all your problems.

    ENLIST.

You're already NG and went through basic training. Enlisting shouldn't be too much trouble. You'll get away from your parents. You'll get all sorts of benefits as a veteran.
