Default May Your Landlord Make Renovations That Render a Part of the Property Useless

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Our landlord starter mid year on renovations on a part of our property. He left a lot of building rubble on the property that made that part of the property useless and it was left there well after we moved out. Is there anything we can do about the loss of space that we initially paid for and never got lower lease for the inconvenience?

    Depends.

If you are in the US, what state?

What kind of property were you leasing?
    For what purpose?
What part of the property was he working on?
Were you using that part of the property before the renovations started?
Has not being able to use that part of the property cost you any money?
How long ago did you move out?
Why didn't you address this issue when it first started happening?

Answer each of those questions and you'll get some helpful comments.
