Just added info....
I can't say the name of the company but they are VERY large (locations worldwide) yet privately owned. And I have already received the relocation and sign-on $$. I could see paying back the sign-on bonus and would really have no problem because I see that as fair. But think that the fact that I relocated and they did agree to pay for it then that should be waived.
I have not told them I am leaving yet. I need to find a job back home first. Plus I need to have my kids finish school which is in 3 weeks. I did sit down with HR and told them I was unhappy and how my manager expects more of me than I can deliver. Their response was I need to tell my manager that his expectations are unreasonable. Which they are right, I should. I just feel this individual will react by saying "if you can't keep up then leave now". Believe me, it's not just my manager that has the work 15 hrs a day attitude. I have noticed 85% of the people there do. And when I tell people that I will have to get them an answer for something the next day because I have to leave to get kids, I get a "look down the nose" at me response.
I left my support system back home and moved to an area where I know NO ONE. I have no back up for my kids. Eventually I know that my limitations will be issues, if they haven't already.
I think both myself and the company didn't realize what "we" were getting into.
