Default Can They Bring A Case?

im 34 going thru a divorce and have been splitting up for awhile but anyhow a anon note was sent to the police saying that me and my step daughter have been having sex (which is needless to say gross) and me and the step daughter are completely ticked off and grossed out by the very thought but an investigation has still been launched weve had the first interview but my soon to be ex wife told me that they didnt believe us(although the officer said once i pass the polygraph hes done with it)i havent been charged yet and im on disability which means im not gonna be able top afford a good lawyer if this goes to court and i know the daughter would never say i did something like that and i would protect her just as if she was my own sooo my question since shes denying it and im denying it and the very idea is eeeeewwww what are the odds that im going to jail since i cant afford good legal council?

Why would the police give credence to an anonymous note?

well it was printed out from someone claiming to know us(yet the misspelled her name)said they got info off their daughters myspace that led them to believe it.....although and i pointed this out at the interview if i saw something on myspace that i was gonna tell the police about i would of printed the page wouldnt you i think i know where this is comming from my soon to be ex has a new boyfriend who also just went thru a divorce and is living with his stepson and he has his son with him im guessing that since i had moved into the spare room of my house that he wanted my out so he could try to move in but thats just my threory

I think there's something you're not telling us, because that alone isn't much for the police to work with. But if it is just an anonymous note, there's nothing on MySpace (or formerly on MySpace) to back up the anonymous note, you deny everything, your step-daughter denies everything, and there's no other evidence you haven't told us about, I doubt that any more will come of it.

well the interviewer brought up my myspace which btw is where i met my wife in the first place and because im all dark and into horror movies n crap like that and i had my step daughters friends on my myspace(so i could keep tabs on her make sure no drugs ect her mom has them on hers too)that they felt an investigation was in order

You shuld NOT be discussing this with your step-daughter.

    How old is your st-daughter?
    What state are you in?
