    Mr. K,

If we assume the valet parking is truly the only parking option, do you think the agent argument would be successful?

All sorts of arguments can be made. I've been to many hotels in many cities. I have yet to find one where your only parking option was to use a valet.
I've been to some in Nawlins and in Hotlanta that only have that option.
Don't make me quote Monty Python at you.

Yes, you are correct, valet parking was the only option. Private garages in the vicinity exist, but most prohibit overnight parking, and the few options available end up costing more than valet to begin with. And I concur, most major cities I've visited all mandate valet parking.

How do they stop guests from parking elsewhere? They don't let you check in without a valet receipt?

To put it another way, no, you do not "only" have that option. It may be the most convenient option, but the hotel does not force you to use valet parking.

Oh, no, I could have found parking outside the French Quarter or downtown Hotlanta and been dropped off by a taxi; but most people would not want their cars parked that far out.

You continue to confuse choice and convenience with there being no option. Unless you are telling us that the hotel won't accept you as a guest if you don't use valet parking, which obviously is not going to be the case, we're talking about choice and convenience.
