My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NJ
Clause in lease: "Tenant is responsible for the first $95.00 of all minor repairs."
Kitchen sink was leaking underneath, spilled out onto the floor. Landlord arranged for a fix the same day I reported it (also same day of leak). The plumber ended up replacing the garbage disposal. Problem solved.
Landlord is now asking for $95. I said no because I think it falls under the category of vital plumbing facility/implied warranty of habitability. He disagrees and insists I owe him anyway. What do I say next?
