My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Pa

After renting for 17 years and paying over 250,000 in rent, (1500 per month) I am forced to leave my apartment. (Business and financial issues)

Unfortunately, I missed the auto renew date of July 31st. So my new lease is 8 days old.

I contacted, them on August 8th, to say, I need to leave,. They basically said too late, now pay us 3.5 month lease break fee.

In addition that want me to stay another 2 months and then pay 3.5 months lease break fee.

I am not allowed to sublease, but am certainly willing to help find, a new tenant. An attorney said they can only demand I pay for their losses, she called it unjust enrichment. If they rerent.

From what I understand in Pa the landlord doesn't have to try to mitigate damages, but is they do rerent they cant profit from me leaving?

Can someone recommend a great attorney near Bethlehem Pa?

I am furious, at being treated this way after 17 years, but I did break the lease by 8 days, so entirety unethical, but the landlord, can hold me to the lease.
