Default Suggest a Discreet Voice Recorder

My question involves civil rights in the State of: TX

I'm searching for a discreet-looking audio recorder with voice activation, that I can place on my desk. If someone starts a conversation with me, it can automatically start recording. Maybe something that looks like a USB key?

If you have personal experience with such a recorder please share.

    Thank you.

Your inquiry has nothing to do with civil rights or any legal issue.

Not legal advice obviously, but according to Digital Media Law Project, Texas is a "one party consent state" with regard to its wiretapping laws. As for what recorder is best, there's lots of them out there. Odds are you can just record from your phone if you want, though the audio quality may or may not be ideal depending on your phone.

    Steve418,

I appreciate your feedback, it's kind of you. Phone needs manual intervention, I'm looking for something automatic like voice activated ... where the device starts recording itself if audio is detected.
