I have been seperated for about 6 months now and i am finally getting around to selling the mobile home we bought together. My wife has since moved out and is renting an apartment. I understand that she is only entitled to 1/2 the equity in the house, or 1/2 the profits from the sale. I have no problem with that, she is entitled to that. BTW we are in MD.
My question is , since we are only seperated (and not even legally, since we have split or divided everything up and are on good terms, with no children and only the mobile home as property,) can I buy another house for me, and have her have no claim to it at all? Or should I wait till the divorce is final to purchase a new home?
