    As a very practical matter, if the person on the other side of the door is a police officer you could well end up dead. In Orlando deputies knocked on a wrong door to make an arrest and when the resident came to the door with a gun they shot and killed him.

    Yep, see my post #7. Bad guy or cop, it doesn't matter if you have a gun and someone is pointing one at you, you've got a split-second decision to make.

    And with purebred at the door holding a firearm not knowing the person on the other-side of the door has a firearm, purebred better hope that the other person doesn't have a fast draw.
