Default Pregnant Teen Wants To Move In With Her Boyfriend

My sister is 17 years old. She will be 18 in October, and is due the same date as her birthdate. She wants to move out of my mom's house and live with her boyfriend (the baby's dad). Is she allowed to do this in the state of Ohio and can anyone stop her? I've heard once you turn 17 and are pregnant you can assume responsibility for yourself and move out. Please give some advice on what to do.
    THanks!!

You're confusing Medical Emancipation with Legal Emancipation. She has to wait until she is 18 to move in with babydaddy.

When she turns 18, she can go wherever she likes. Until then, she lives where her parents tell her she lives.

There is no truth to the myth that being pregnant gives her the right to go where she pleases. She not only is NOT legally emancipated, it will now be HARDER, not easier, for her to obtain legal emancipation.

cbg is correct by getting pregnant you have successfully removed any chance of emancipation you might have had

In Ohio, her chances for emancipation would be through lawful marriage or through active duty military service. The pregnancy rules out the latter. She needs parental permission for the former (details here), assuming she's even interested.

There may be no stated Ohio emancipation laws, but how come then the cops in the township will not do anything to bring her back to her house. THe police state she is now 17 and pregnant and at some given time she will need to grow up and take responsibility for her actions.
Marriage has always been an option, but my mother wont give legal concent for her to do this. Can she do it by herself? My mom seems to think there's some kind of loop hole.
    thanks

There is no loophole Police dont like chasing 17 year olds does not mean she can liv eon her own without parental consent!
