So I live in Milwaukee, WI. Yesterday I was charged with loitering for walking in an alleyway.
They brought me in for vandalism (which I didn't do), it's still pending but they let me go with a $73.00 ticket for loitering.
Now to my knowledge, loitering is an intransitive verb meaning to stand idly, to stop numerous times, or to delay and procrastinate. During the whole time I was walking I stopped one time. I wasn't delaying or procrastinating anything. They picked me up for suspected graffiti , now if I had just committed that offense, I wouldn't be standing around waiting to get caught.
Alleyways are meant for better integration of automobile and foot traffic in a neighborhood, waste collection, or rear access for fire engines and parking.
I'm almost positive that the vandalism charge will get dropped, what 'm concerned with is the ticket. Do you think I can get the ticket dropped? I personally don't think I deserve this ticket, especially since I did nothing wrong.
