Default Son Concerned About Drug Test

I wanted to add that yes, I am also disappointed in my son for smoking pot. But I know he is not a consistent smoker. In other words, it is not an everyday thing, he has"tried it" sort of situation, who hasn't at his age. My real concern is that he comes up positive on his drug test and how this is related to being at the wrong place and the wrong time with the meth bust. And with DHS involved, how do I explain the black eye and cuts, scrapes and bruises. I dont' even know when I will see them again, before or after the drug tests. How long does a drug test result take? Will they notify me only if they or one come up positive? In other words, if they come up negative, will they tell me that? What kind of bull doodoo am I or my son looking at if he comes up positive, and not only that the condition of my son's body after this fight. Talk about bad timing. I seem to have a lot of that.

You might want to add this to your previous post instead of starting a new thread that is related to another one.

Red face Re: Son Concerned About Drug Test

no, I am computer illiterate, basically, I added a new thread because I didn't know how to add it to my previous one, if that makes any sense. I didn't know it would make any difference. This is the first time I have ever had the internet. Most people I know have welcomed me finally to the 21 century. I'm new at this, I was surprised I could even figure out how to post a thread in the first place. I apologize if I am doing it wrong. DURHHH, or should I say DEE DEE DEE.

You add it by simply doing what you JUST did. Hitting the "reply" button.

And another thing, you made it sound like by now admitting my son smoke's pot that I knew it all along, and that is why I posted a new thread. This isn't so, I guess maybe I shouldn't be doing this at all since I apparently don't know how to do it properly, I'm only looking for advice on these problems of mine. My son was afraid to tell me when I first asked him, I can tell he is fretting over something, I finally got it out of him like I said, Sun. morning, the dhs worker came to my home I believe on tues. or wed.(past), the raid happened on Friday the 13th. I know I was an idiot for being where I was. and I know everyone says they are innocent, truthfully I am, my son, maybe not so much right now. I HAVE NEVER been in trouble with the law in my entire life. At the age of 43 it was the first (and last) time I was ever handcuffed. As far as posting threads, I am truly sorry if I am not doing this properly, like I said, I'm only looking for help. so excuse me.

yeah, ok, hit the reply button. Last night I was in and out of this website. I was tired, crabby and stressed. Like probably millions of other people in the world. NOW I know how to do it, why I couldn't figure it out last night I guess is beyond me and everyone else. Perhaps I was having a blonde moment (I'm a brunette). Who knows, but this isn't the point any longer. I said I was sorry.

Let's give people the benefit of the doubt here, folks. Not everybody is a forum veteran.

If the house was selling meth, testing positive for THC does not stand as evidence that your son was at the house to get meth (nor you, for that matter). If it were me, I would address the social worker in a matter-of-fact manner saying something like, "My son didn't want to take the test you requested, and now he's advised me of why. He's been experimenting with marijuana. I suspect that he will test positive for marijuana, and I would appreciate any guidance you can provide to me in how to address that." (But that's me... There is nothing wrong with consulting a lawyer before choosing how to proceed, and sometimes that's a really good idea.)
