Default Marriage & Petition for Change of Status

What changed status would you apply for, prior to your fiancee's becoming a citizen? After you are married and she becomes a citizen, you may file an I-130 petition for Alien Relative, and I-485 application for permanent residence.

    i went to this site:

    https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/js...Center=Vermont

my wife will get citizenshi in may 2006.

i guess she only has to file I-130 for me and not I-485. right

You have to be a Green Card holder for three years before applying for naturalization, if you are married to a U.S. citizen.
