    Default How To Take The Father's Name Off The Birth Certificate in Florida

    I live in florida and my husband is active duty military in NC. We are going through a divorce and just found out my son is not his. I did a DNA test, my qustion is how do i get his name taken off the birth certificate if he is the legal father. He wants to be the father but i want him gone and I want to find his real father. How do I get his name removed and out of my life forever? Please help. Also if I know the birth father does he need a DNA test to fight my soon to be x husband. The other guy knows he is the father and wants to take care of him so how do i get hte names changed?

    You won't be able to bastardize your child unless and until you have an adoptive father standing in the wings.

    For example, you get divorced from pa and get newpa to marry you. Then you and newpa would file for adoption of kid and pa and newpa and you would have a big fight in court.

    If the child was born during the marriage, and your husband wishes to remain named as the child's father, that's likely to be the end of the story.
