Is a Notice to Vacate by the LL to the tenant valid through e-mail? I'm in California. If not, what is the method required by law??
Thanks!

I live in a house in CA. Can my landlord send me a Notice to Vacate by e-mail? If not, what should I do at this point - don't reply back? Thanks
I guess you can either leave or wait for the deputies to come and put your stuff on the sidewalk.
Here's official information on how notice is to be given from the California Courts.
You didn't get an answer earlier because,
- This is a free service, and nobody is entitled to an answer;
- You asked your question on a weekend; and
- You're being too impatient.
Thanks for your responses. So sorry about being too impatient. My landlord sent me an e-mail that he wants me to vacate by May 1. All of the information I've read seems to say the e-mail is not a valid notice. I was planning to leave anyway in August. My question now is what to do if he gives me the 3-day notice? Also, when do I have to give him notice that I'm leaving - 30 days? Thanks.
The same site has lots of information, and should answer your questions.
