Default How Long Does it Take to Remove Conditions from Permanent Residency

A spouse with a two year Green Card from marriage sent in form I-751 to remove conditions from her Green Card. The documents were filed two weeks before the expiration date of her Green Card, and the Post Office shows that delivery occurred before the expiration date. However, the payment check has not been cashed and she has not heard anything from the USCIS. How long will it take for the conditions to be removed?

Depending upon where you are in the country, the processing time for Form I-751 (Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence) can be between 12 and 41 weeks.

She can use InfoPass to schedule an appointment with the USCIS to check the status of her petition.
