Hi was wondering if someone could please give me some insight on this. I was in a car accident years ago not sure exactly how long had to be at least 6 years ago though. The car I was driving was my mothers car and insured but I guess I wasnt insured when driving it. The accident occured at an intersection. I was driving north bound and went thru a yellow light. A car traveling west bound hit me on the passenger side and then hit a van sitting at the light driving south bound. The people in the van are now trying to sue me for either injury or property damage. The kicker is in the police report the cop wrote down that I ran a red light because the light was yellow. I didnt recieve any type of citation for running a red light though. The driver of the vehicle that hit me and the van was not licensed, insured and the car wasnt registered. I recieved papers from the van party a few years ago and wrote a document disputing this, now some few years later im I recieve a certified letter saying A certificate of readiness without being signed by all parties shall be filed with the Prothonotary 10 days from the date of this letter unless objections are sent in writing to the undersigned. My question is this. Am I liable for this accident and is this not past the statute of limitations for any type of lawsuit? I live in Pennsylvania.
