Default Car Broken Into In Apartment Parking Lot

My car was broken into in the parking lot in my apartment complex and everything was stolen out of the car. Can the Apartment complex people be held at all responsible?

Laws regarding a premises owner's liability for criminal activity vary by state.

What facts exist which would justify holding the landlord responsible?

You may also want to see if there are signs in the parking lot, or at the entrance, or in your contract that states that they are not responsible for any burglaries of any kind (apartment or car).
