I am on intermittent leave and didnt even request the forms from my employer until the middle of last month. I havent used even close to 12 weeks of my FMLA time. Of the 480 hours alotted, I've only used 42.5 hours. My supervisor and managers are not happy that I'm using FMLA and initially told me that I didnt even qualify for it because I dont have a child or any family. But now that I've got the paperwork from my doctor and I'm under FMLA, it seems as though they're trying to get rid of as much time as they can, so it's that much less time that I have available to me. I read somewhere that my employer has to notify me in writting of any time that they are considering to be FMLA time. So far, for the 42 hours of work that I have missed, I have not been told once that any of it will be counting towards my FMLA. Does any of that additional information help with answering my last question? Please, any help or suggestions at all would be MOST appreciated.
