Default Re: What Constitutes Reasonable Notice For Landlord's Entry

I Have A Question.... If A Person Is Renting A Property And Their Landlord Dies And That Property Is Taken Over By The Previous Landlords Brother.. What Rights Does The Person Renting The Property Have If The Brother Of The Deceased Landlord Decidesto Sell The Property And Only Gives The Tenant Less Than 30 Days To Move Out, And No Written Notice Was Given, And The Gentleman Residing At This Homes Is 75 Years Old. What Can Be Done To Protect His Rights As A Renter, And Does The Previous ,now Deceased Landlords Brother Have A Right To Enter The Premises While The Tenant Still Occupies The Home, To Try To Prepare It To Be Sold??? Can Someone Tell Me How I Can Help This Older Gentleman In This Very Unfair Situation???? Thank You....

The landlord (in this case, the landlord's successor in interest) has to give proper notice under the terms of any lease, as well as under state law. Landlord-tenant laws are different in each state.
