    Default No Civil Demand Received

I refused to sign the guilt admission form given by the LP. I forgot to pay for an item in the stroller and it was an honest mistake. The police were called before I refused to sign the paper and I was arrested. I went back to the store the next day and told them that I was willing to pay whatever fine they charge me. The manager of the store said I can continue shopping in the store. This happenned 2 months back and I haven't received the civil demand that everyone here seems to be receiving. My question is, did they not send it to me because I didn't sign the paper? Will I receive the civil demand if I'm convicted? Will it be helpful for my case if I contact the store again and proactively pay them a fine.
My lawyer suggested me not to pay the civil demand in case I receive it

i wouldn't worry about it, i worked at a place in NJ and we never sent people the civil demands, just hoped they would pay... i work at a place now that sells the civil demands to collections after 30 days

it can take weeks to months to get it. But they may of also decieded not to send you a bill. And you signing or not signing has nothing to do with if you get one or not. Does not matter.

I'm surprised the store manager let you shop again...they probably should have waited till this is resolved.

Why do you say they should have waited till this is resolved?
