These cameras are regular security cameras that are intentionally visible, not concealed. They have a green light indicating they are on. My landlord has literally looked right at them during visits to my apartment. They do not "record" in any traditional sense because what is "recorded" is stored by the security company in some cloud and deleted, unless you request it, after an interim period.

Seeing as I am legally allowed to be present when my landlord enters my unit and only exit as a courtesy, I fail to see how I am not allowed the run of the unit with cameras that exist for security purposes. But I'm here, so I am no expert!
The audio recording is illegal no matter how you spin it. Reset the cameras for video only, disconnect the microphones if you have to. Dub out the audio from any recordings you already have. It's easy enough to do with A/V editing software that you can probably find for free online. Windows Live Movie Maker is available free from Microsoft.
