Default Does a Tenant Have to Pay for a Service Call if No Problem is Found

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California

I have a plumbing issue hot water pressure low, i called the property management who I signed a lease with, the property management firm called a plumber and had them come see what the problem was. the plumbing company could not find a problem so the property management company stated i needed to pay the plumber because they could not find anything wrong.

Am i responsible for paying the plumber? I could not locate any information on my lease stating i was responsible when a company could not find anything wrong with the property. the property management company is adding this charge to my monthly lease statement. Is this legal am i responsible for this charge? I called the property management company to inform them of my issue, they in turn called the plumbing company, i never did sign any invoices with either the plumbing company and or the property management company.

If your lease does not require it, the management company cannot require you to pay it. However, they will probably make your life miserable until you do.

Is the hot water pressure low? If so, the fact they found nothing doesn’t mean there isn’t something that needs repair.
