My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin.
I was order to do probation for two separate charges. I paid one lump-sum for both charges. The sum went to a single charge and the remainder that was intended to pay off the second charge, was held arbitrarily for about a year, year and half. Last October I was granted the opportunity to have an early discharge because of my success.
Because of this outstanding balance for the 2nd charge the paperwork couldn’t be submitted. Repeated request to transfer the positive balance from the initial charge to the outstanding balance were always answered with “ok we’ll look into it”.The entire time I was also being charged probation fees, therefore violating act 355 (which states you cannot collect supervision fees until all unpaid restitution is paid).
6 more months have passed, promises from the officers are just as translucent as before, along with addidition probation charges, have made me curious of what I could possibly do that wouldn’t cause a retaliation from my officer.
