Default School is Building a New Building Blocking My View

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NV

I live near a school. I bought this house because I can see part of the hotel from my bedroom. The school across the street decided to build a new building on their field. This massive build completely blocking all the hotels I I used to be able to see from my bedroom window.
I just wonder I can sue the school or school district for this lost.

What financial damages have you incurred because you can no longer see the hotel from your bedroom window?

Property values plunge when your view of hotels is blocked.

There are some places in the U.S. that grant zoning or easement rights for "air and light" or scenic views, but that is not common and my guess is that it would be quite rare to see that in NV. Check your local zoning ordinances to see if there is something there that might protect you. Chances are, however, that there is no remedy for this.

I think the issue is the that view the OP liked was the lighted strip of hotels — think the Vegas strip — that can be quite a visual display to see, especially at night. The school will now block that display. Whether that view matters in the value of the property is something else. Depending on just what it was and what it looks like after the school is built, it is possible that the value might drop. It can be very hard to pin that sort of thing down, however.
