I got pregnant while in Italy on vacation. (I am a US citizen). The father is from Canada, but lives in Florence, Italy.
At 10 weeks, I should be able to do a blood test to determine paternity. How can I compel him to do the blood test?

You are were asked what state you are in and you will be asked again so you need to add that.
I can't find any way for you to compel someone in Italy to be tested in your circumstances.
You will need to avail yourself of whatever process Italy provides for that and for seeking child support as well. The U.S. courts have no jurisdiction over the putative father since he is not a resident of any U.S. state, likely has no significant contacts to any U.S. state (at least your post reveals no such ties), and the act giving rise to the pregnancy took place in Italy, not the U.S. So you’ll need to start by contacting a Florence, Italy area lawyer who handles child support matters to see what can be done. The rules there may be very different from the U.S. This is one question for which we don’t need to know the U.S. state.
