Default Store Has No Bathroom Available to Paying Customers

Pennsylvania you need to get with the times. Ugh. I went to buy a bottle of wine and they have no bathroom avail for customers. It’s totally annoying to have to deal with the miserable people who seem to enjoy saying no you may not use the bathroom to a paying customer. I suppose they technically do not have to provide a bathroom but in our state liquor is state run. I normally lean left and do not support privatization of prisons but I do for the liquor stores. I realize it’s annoying when Businesses have people try to use the bathroom and they don’t even buy anything. Peeing outside should be legal. Annoyed as hell.

Do you have a legal question or are you just here to vent?

Both but I did say peeing outside should be legal and public buildings should offer public restrooms.

    Pee at home.
    Go to the liquor store.
    Go home.
    Pee when you get home.
Don't drink and drive in either direction.

Lobby the Pennsylvania legislature to dump the state owned liquor store system. I used to live in Pennsylvania, and the state’s monopoly on the sale of liquor results in just what you would expect compared to private stores in other states: high prices, average service at best, not great selection, and sometimes hard to find locations. The system is antiquated and no longer serves much of a useful purpose. But then much of Pennsylvania’s legal and political systems are old and out-of-date. It seems the state is somehow allergic to moving out of the dark ages.

At least it opened up for wine. We had a hotelier who wanted to host our national American Wine Society convention. This would have been impossible a few years back (we need to ship in wines both for the presentations and for the amateur and commercial wine competitions). PA went the opposite way. As long as the tax gets paid, they will let you direct ship.
