    Just asking - because I don't know...

What is the island is a US territory? Puerto Rico?
The OP’s write up makes a clear distinction between the Island and the U.S. and Canada, so I think it is extremely unlikely that it is a U.S. territory or possession. If it was, however, then again it would be the law of that territory or possession that would apply here, and that would also likely be the proper place for the litigation as well.

No, it is a British territory and there are laws for extortion and even defamation which were introduced in 1800s when the British first invaded. Most of the lawyers here are locals who completed their education in London law schools. The thing that I should mention is that couple of years ago there was a very public case regarding a crime for invasion of privacy done by authorities on this island which attracted a lot attention and the plaintiffs end of winning. I don't want to give more information about this but this case was the first of its kind for this island and the state ended up paying. This was tried on the island by a local judge.
Also, I should point out that in this case, ALL the victims live in either U.S or Canada and this activity has been going on for many years given a silent culture of extortion. I have EXTREMELY strong evidence(secretly recorded conversations from employees) to prove all of my claims. Filing a lawsuit and publishing an article on this crime is the only way to stop the harassment.
I don't know if anyone saw the text messages that I attached to earlier posts but they read as follows:

Manager of compound A(spouse of Marriott IT):
Text1: ~We were having a meeting about your situation and someone thinks you have something called "ransomeware".
    Text2: "no, its assed"

I forgot to mention that there are some cyber laws regarding hacking etc. which were introduced less than a decade ago.

I really don't want to take anyone's time here but do you think I should also post about this in British law forum too? If yes, does anyone has a suggestion?
    Thanks

Just so you understand, the fact that the victims are citizens of the U.S. and Canada does not itself mean that U.S. and Canadian courts would have jurisdiction to hear the case or that U.S. and Canadian law would apply. As you describe it, all the relevant acts of the hotel staff events took place on this U.K. island, which is why the laws of that island territory are what govern this. If it is a U.K. territory then U.K. law would seem to be what you need to look into, and thus a U.K. law forum might be useful to you.
