Default What Can Employers Ask About Your Criminal Record if You're on Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York

I have a friend who is going to be released from prison shortly after serving several months for drug related crimes. I believe that the felony crimes were reduced to misdemeanors. He will be on probation for 5 years. I was wondering ifwhen he tries to get a job will he have to answer questions about this history and can prospective employers find this info?

    Thanks
