How to Prove That Your Roommates Are Stealing

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington the other night my husband and I went to the store to get dinner and while we were gone my husband's insurance money came up missing. Mind you, we were only gone 10 minutes and our roommates were the ONLY people here at the time. But of course they will not admit fault. My question is if I called the police to report this would they be arrested?

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment my husband and I live in one room and another couple live in the other room.

Unless your roommates admitted to the theft, they would almost certainly not be arrested. An investigation might ensue, but without any evidence, it might not go very far. It is possible the police might ask to search the roommate's room, or that they might seek a search warrant. If you want to do something, report it to the police. However, since you have waited for a time, it is very possible that any incrimiating evidence (i.e. the money) has been moved or well hidden.
