Default Assault and Temporary Confinement Charge

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Canada,

Okay so back in August I was charged with Assault, temporary confinement and uttering threats.

Ultimately crown counsel dropped all charges except the assault charge, I did not commit any of these crimes and she's trying to get me in trouble for breaking up with her however I guess now it's my job to get off these charges, one note is that she is medically diagnosed with bi-polar and does take meds for it and she was drinking the night the event apparently took place, the only witness on hand of any I guess would be my grandfather he lives in the room behind mine and heard nothing all night (but could he be a witness?) there is no evidence the police report said she was found without any marks but seemed "freightened" also a couple days after the apparent incident took place I have proof that she texted me and we ended up meeting up to hang out (before the cops came and arrested me, at this point I didn't know she called cops) also there was other texts asking me to chill with her up until the day the cops came. How would you guys go about this?

    Default Re: Assault Charge

This forum deals with US law. There are a couple folks that know a bit about Canadian law but you would be best served by finding a forum that deals with Canadian law.
