Unhappy Receipt of Funds from a Former Employer After Filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Alabama. I recently filed ch 13. We had a second court date scheduled (the one that you do not have to attend)however due to court being behind, it was delayed a bit. Completely irrelevant. However, I worked for a Canadian start up that recently sold. They just sent me a check that will come out to about $5100 american dollars. I owe a friend of mine $2000 that he let me borrow back around May and I owe my landlord around $2100. I am so stressed out, I don't know what to do! Someone please give me some advice that will make me feel better!

You will have identified your friend and landlord as creditors when you filed your bankruptcy case. The cash you received is an asset. Your bankruptcy lawyer can advise you about your exemptions, and how to update your schedules to reflect an additional asset.
