Charges for Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor, Probation Violation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Tennessee.

my son got charged with DUI and right after got a violation of probation(he is only 18)and his probation has followed him from his juvinile record. He did 30 days for vop and has yet to go to court for the DUI because they didn't have the testing at his court date it is now in bound over. We are waiting on a court date we showed up and they said he wasn't on the docket and to call back on a specific date....

soooo now he has gotten pulled over and had no proof of insurance,speeding ticket and... contributing to minors(two girls he was giving a ride had alcohol in their backpacks)he did not give them the alcohol . He has an upcoming court date for this as well. NOW they have charged him with violation of probation. Ugh Best advise please help need advise on how to help him and also he is talking of skipping states. What will happen to him? Will his license get suspended for the vop? What can happen to him if he does not appear for these? I need to inform him of the consequences.

There's no easy answer here -- he needs to work with a lawyer. He also needs to grow up and face the consequences of his actions, not run away to another state and make things even worse for himself.

If he chooses not to appear, you can hope that you're not on the hook for his bond.

Driving without insurance can result in a driver's license suspension.
