Default Help With My Probation in Pennsylvania

I need help. I am 6 months into my probation for a DUI. I recieved my DUI in Butler County, was sentanced in Butler County then transferred to Allegheny county(where I reside) to serve out my house arrest. I am currently seeking employment, this is where my problem lies. I live in a rural area, where there is NO transportation and No work, other than one landscaping business, however you need to have a drivers lisence to work there, and since mine is suspended for 18 months this is not possible. So in other words im screwed. After exploring all possible places to work and how to get there i realized the only place for me to basically live would be to work for a seasonal employment place. I contacted numerous locations in Alaska for summer fishing jobs where i wouldnt need a car, they would pay for my housing and transportation. It cant get better than that. However I asked my probation officer if this would be a problem, if i was to do this after i finished my house arrest. He said he doesnt have a problem with this, but he wasnt sure and to contact Butler county probation......I thought I was transfered!!!! Well anyway I called butler county to ask them if i could go to alaska for work during the summer and she told me no, im not allowed to leave the state for any reason. This lady doesnt know anything about me. Then I asked if it was possible to transfer my probation to the state of Alaska and she said I cant transfer it unless I resided in that state during my sentancing. This is ridiculous, I screwed up, I know this, I'm trying to do things right but im getting nowhere. Im supposed to be getting a call this week for more information about this job in Alaska and Im probably going to have to turn it down, thats the last thing I want to do. In every DUI class ive attended they tell you the most important things to quit drinking is to change people places and things, this is what im trying to do, I just wish I could. Does anybody know how to override your probation officers decision? And in my situation I feel like I have 2 probation officers. The one who actually knows me is great but the other one there is no reasoning with. Would a lawyer be able to do anything for me. I need to move to work thats the bottom line. Please get back to me if anybody knows anything. Im on a short timeline for finding employment. PS I had to leave my last job bc they had a zero policy for DUI, it was a government job.

You need to work with your probation officer. Perhaps, if you've been good, the probation officer will consider an early discharge or permitting you to report by mail or phone. If you can't work things out with your probation officer you can try going through the sentencing court, but if you want to do that I suggest hiring a lawyer.
