    Default What Happens if You're Caught Shoplifting

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: California.

    So recently I have stolen from Walmart and I don’t know what to do because supposedly the security officer asked my aunt if I stole because I usually go to the mall with her and she got suspicious as asked me. I just want to know what would happen to me if I got caught.

    If it needs to be said, you should stop shoplifting such that you don't have to worry (or add to your existing worries) about being caught.
