My question involves civil rights in the State of: Indiana
So I am 16 years old, And am living in the state of Indiana. I am also under DCS care and am a ward of the state, and I feel like I have no rights to who I am at all...It's humiliating..I am a male, in a loving relationship...And my boyfriend is also 16. Yet, DCS and my caregivers refuse to believe that my boyfriend is who he says he is...My happiness is on the line here, and I am CONSTANTLY stressed about what I am supposed too, because everyday I come home from school like, Am I gonna have my computer privileges taken away, And every day so far I still have them. The only way I can contact my boyfriend is through social media right now.And I'm scared not only the fact I'm gonna go off the radar and not be able to talk to him, but If I do, I will hurt someone.....Is there a Civil rights violation here, when I say I'm 16, able to consent to sex and relationship with another 16 year old in another state or do I let sadness take over.??? Please help. I need a attorney/professional to fill me in on what my LGBT rights are to help me save my relationship before it is too late.
