Default Sending a Pornographic Selfie to a Minor

Hello, I’ve got a friend who may be in trouble, and I’d like to know what can he do about it The thing is, he’s a 21 year old guy living in France (he’s not American, he’s from the Europe) and yesterday he went on Omegle, searching for some, id say harmless, sext via Snapchat (since it deletes the pics)

After chatting with some guys, he got connected to a supposedly 14 year old from South Florida, and he asked if he wanted to do something and go on snap (he told me that he thought it wasn’t a big deal since he wasn’t at all looking for a meet-up, just to jerk off and then deleting the contact, and since it was Snapchat, he wasn’t aiming to keep any pics) the 14yo agreed and gave his snap.

They then went to Snapchat, and my friend asked if he wanted to see his junk, to which the 14yo answered yes, my friend then sent a pic of it and shortly after, he received a vid of a computer screen with what looked like a sheriff’s forum (apparently there wasn’t any information like his name or localization) along with a text on the vid saying “your phone is being traced ”

He then received another text in snap saying “see you in the big house son!” He’s since then being freaking out, crying, not eating and barely getting any sleep. He hasn’t been contacted by anyone. The question is, is there any chance they were trolling him? The fact that they were giving a heads up about catching him smells kinda fishy. If on the other case it was a real sting, what should he do? I thank everyone for your time answering this.

Hello, I was searching for some advice for a friend who has done a really dumb thing.

The thing is, he’s a 21year old living in France (he’s not american nor French, he’s from the European Union.) and yesterday he went on Omegle to search for some, id say harmless, sexting vía Snapchat (since he wasn’t intending to keep any pics). After chatting with some guys with no problem, he got connected on Omegle to a supposedly 14 year old from South Florida. Since he wasn’t at all looking for a meet-up with anybody nor keeping any pics (just “relieve” himself and erase the contact and anything related to it) he asked the 14yo if he was horny and if he wanted to talk through Snapchat. The 14yo replied yes to both and so they went to Snapchat. There, my friend asked him if he wanted to see his junk, to which the 14yo answered yes. He then sent the pic, and he got answered with a 10 second vid of a computer screen showing what it looked like a sheriff forum with nothing remarkable (he said there were just some posts, and that he didn’t see any information (name, localization) about him) with the text “your phone is being traced ” on it. He then received another message saying “see you in the big house son!”. He immediately blocked the 14yo account, in order to not receive anything else. He hasn’t been contacted by anyone since it happened.

Since then he’s been freaking out, crying, not eating, and barely sleeping at all.
I’d like to know if there’s any chance that he’s been trolled, since the heads up that he was caught smells kinda fishy.
If, on the opposite, it’s a real sting, what should he do?
First, this site addresses US law issues only.

Second, stop looking to children to gratify your sexual needs.

Third, stop sending pics of your junk to strangers.

That doesn’t really answer any of the questions...

Nobody knows what can or will happen, let alone if the French Government will get involved.

What should he do? He should probably get some therapy.

Whether or not "the Europe" will prosecute him is entirely up to "the Europe."
