My question involves criminal law for the state of: MI
4 years ago I was arrested and charged for possession of a small amount of controlled substance. I was using because I had just recently been viciously sexually assaulted, which required surgery to correct. I filed a police report 3 years later on the sexual assault, a full investigation was conducted, but the prosecutors said they didn't have enough evidence for a conviction.
As of a couple weeks ago I recently learned about Michigans drug amnesty laws with regard to sexual assault victims. If anyone is familiar with this law, do you know if it is possible to retroactively clear your record of the charges in a situation such as mine?
Thank you for your time.
