I recently got a speeding ticket (45 in a 30) and was wondering if I could ask for dismissal of charges based on 1) an error the officer made on the ticket-- he wrote that it was 11pm and in actuality it was 11am and/or 2) he was sitting right next to the speed limit sign that changed to 45 but ticketed me for doing 45 in a 30. I remember looking at my speedometer and thinking I was doing the speed limit since he was right next to the 45 speed limit sign, but I guess he clocked me before the change. I was still wondering if I could beat that. Also, does it make him look bad that he doesn't know his am from his pm?
Thanks for your help. I am in New York State.
