Is it Illegal for Adults to Talk to Girls Who are Under 18

My question involves criminal law for the state of:
Hi, I just wanted to know if it was bad or illegal to talk to girls under 18 if your 18. I'm on social media and trying to make it as a singer/musician with a couple of my friends and I go live to sing or talk to my fans/supporters. I get around 500-1000 people watching me when I go live. Mostly girls under 18 since a lot of people on the app is 12-18yr girls.

However is it illegal or bad to snapchat or continuously to talk to a few of them? I don't talk about anything bad, just about school, life, friends, and just general stuff like how our day is going. Yesterday this one girl's mom though direct messaged me on the app saying 'this is "x's" mom, please do not contact her again. thank you" something like that and I didn't know why.

I also don't say my age on my social media. A lot of people say I look 13-16 when I'm 18 so I just try to ignore anyone who asks how old I am, unless they know me in person or something.

I thought I could be nice and reply to a lot of my supporters/fans but I guess I'll have to keep it down and stop replying as much and focus more on my career.
But I'd appreciate any advice.

It is not illegal in the U.S. for an adult to simply talk to a minor about non sexual matters. However, if a parent does not want you talking to his/her kid, you need to respect that decision and not talk to that kid. If you are not located in the U.S. then you need to find someplace that deals with the laws of your country.
