My question involves criminal law for the state of: TEXAS
So I was at Sephora in Jcpennys with my friend. And we started stealing some make up, and I thought we were off Camera. We were exiting jcpennys when two guys asked us to come with them to the back. We said no, and contained walking, and they followed. We went to our car and left. Then got our liscense plate. What’s going to happen next?? It’s been 24 hours already and im so scared. Can the police just show up at my house

Yes, yes they can. Will they? Who knows. The simple fact is, you chose to commit a crime and knew there were potential consequences. Now is a bit late to be bemoaning those consequences. Maybe the cops will come knocking and maybe they won’t – could be tomorrow, could be next month. For simple theft, they likely have about a year to file charges. If you haven’t heard anything by then, you can probably quit sweating it – provided you haven’t continued to commit more crimes in the meantime.
