Default Is Unlawful Use of a Phone a Violent Crime

My question involves criminal records for the state of: South Carolina

I haven't mentioned this before, but I was charged with unlawful use of telephone and was wondering is that considered a "violent" crime" despite that I did pretrial intervention and got it expunged? I'm wondering because I fear that it might hurt my chances of finding a job.

Unless the unlawful use of the telephone involved using it to beat someone or throwing it at them, no it's not a violent crime. If it was, can I have your autograph Ms. Campbell or Mr. Crowe?

Every nation on this planet has different immigration laws and policies. You will need to figure out where you want to go, investigate their policies and how your conviction might implicate those policies, and act based upon that information.

So get an immigration lawyer when the time comes?

If that's what you want to do, sure. Seriously -- with each nation having different laws, and laws being subject to change, what sort of answer do you think you can get about theoretical future travel to unidentified nations?

If you're just planning to visit another country, then look up that country's immigration laws vis a vis criminal records before you buy your travel tickets. Getting an immigration lawyer is way overkill, will cost you a lot more than the total value of whatever holiday you're planning.

Just curious, what exactly did you do with the phone that causes you to think you've committed a violent crime?

I lost my temper and cussed out two people and told one of them I was gonna knock their teeth down their throat. By the way does information like that show up on background checks

What does this have to do with a phone? And what kind of foreign travel are you planning?

It was over the phone when I done it. As far as foreign travel I was looking to go to university and gain employment there as well as citizenship.
