Default Injury Falling from a Ladder at Work

While working at a construction site, my uncle was transferring cement bags from the second to the third floor by way of a ladder. On the way up, the attic ladder shifted and he fell down. He ended up breaking his ankle and couldn't work for two weeks. Can someone help me find a good lawyer to fight my case?

We do not do attorney referrals on this website.

If your uncle was working for a bonafide company, they should have workman's compensation insurance and he can file a claim for his injury. But if the company or person he was work for is not bonafide then he would have to sue the company or the person that hired him or the homeowner/property owner. He would have to show that the company or the person he was working for or the homeowner was somehow negligent and that negligence was the cause of his injury. Sometimes accidents happen where no one is responsible for the injury.

you ignored the request to post the state??
did the employer/carrier deny the claim?
in many states workers compensation is a legal specialty and if your uncle has to appeal the claim denial, he should look at getting a specialist.
workers comp has a waiting period before disability payments have to be made. most states have a waiting period that's not paid until disability has exceeded a certain period. without knowing your uncle's state specific information can't be provided.
