Default Renewing a Green Card After Multiple Shoplifting Convictions

My wife was admitted and became a green card holder in 2001. From 2008-2010 she accumulated 4 shoplifting convictions, each were 6 Month maximum sentences.

Will this become a problem when it comes time for her to renew?

Default Re: Will Multiple Misdemeanors All Under 6mo Max Sentence Be an Issue

She should see an immigration attorney to see what difficulties she may have in renewing the green card. Theft crimes are crimes of moral turpitude and those are deportable offenses if they are committed within 5 years of getting the green card. Since it was about 7 years after your wife got her green card she may be ok there. But other details of the convictions or other things in her history might pose a problem and an attorney can help her best navigate any potential issues.
