My question involves name change laws in the State of: Massachusetts
A petition for a child's name change has initially been filed without father's consent. Now he says he doesn't object and seems to be willing to give his written consent. i've been told that it's enough for him to just write it out in one sentence (that he gives his permission to change the last name from... to...) and then just sign in front of a notary public. Is this really how it should be done in Massachusetts? Or there's something else that need to be done?
Thank you!
Oh, you found him? Huh. Amazing.
