By confront, do you mean sending her a message telling her to quit messing with your significant other? As long as it's a nice plain "Please stop schtupping my man/woman", you shouldn't run into any trouble. Repeated messages or ones that make threats could be an issue.
You realize that your SO is the problem, yes? S/he is the one cheating on you...
Did you confront your significant other before you confronted this person? As long as you didn't threaten her you can message anyone you want. But I would be more concerned with my spouse honestly. Yes - I know it's easy to blame them. I was there. My ex husband cheated on me. No one made him cheat and no one made your spouse cheat. So maybe you need to evaluate your marriage.
I'm going to flat out recommend that the OP NEVER contacts the other woman in ANY fashion. Period. Even if.
There is nothing to be gained. Nothing.
Have to agree that while you may think it will make YOU feel better, it won't. And honestly it will give DH and the other lady something (more) to share...
Knowing nothing about the facts of your situation, I have no idea whether it's a good idea to confront the "other woman" or not. There's certainly nothing illegal about it. If you engage in a pattern of threats and harassment, that could be cyberstalking. But that would involve a course of conduct, and not a single confrontation.
Chances are it won't be a single contact and the whole situation will spiral out of control and you'll end up getting arrested for something.
Get rid of your husband and be done with it.
