Default Dismissed Criminal Charges in a Naturalization Interview

I had a shoplifting charge 9 years ago, the charge was dismissed , i didn't enter any plea. however, i did have to do some community service. will this affect my naturalization application? i did say yes to the arrest question and submitted dismissal paperwork with my n400. So what should i say if asked during the interview if i have comitted the crime? if a person says yes, wouldnt that be asmission of guilt? but if a person says no, wouldnt that be lying to an officer? so how should you answer it? thank you.
