Default What to Do if You Can't Afford the Filing Fees for Bankruptcy

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Ohio
My question is if you are filing bankruptcy , why is it so much to file. Here in Ohio it is about 1600 dollars, if I had that amount I possibly would be filing. Lol But seriously I need to file but have no job or income, I have no way to pay. What do I do?

You apply for a fee waiver.

    http://www.uscourts.gov/forms/bankru...ing-fee-waived

Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended .... but if you weren't able to do a quick Google to find that info, you're not quite ready to file bankruptcy without an attorney.

(And the attorney will need to paid before filing the petition)

A simple no asset Ch.7 can be done pro se (without an attorney) but I rarely recommend that because one mistake can mess the entire thing up and can leave you in worse financial shape. If that's how you need to go though, then at least spend the $25 (or whatever it is this year!) to buy NOLO's Ch.7 Bankruptcy book.

Why bother with bankruptcy if you've got nothing that your creditors can get from you anyway?

I would just like to have my credit straighted out. I may not have anything but I still want to have decent credit and I would also like to get my license back. I would like to get a job someday.
